- Bio: (Research)-I am focused on finding out more about the interaction of exercise and cooling on tissue temperature, movement patterns, and pain. In addition, I have been investigating different effects on range of motion gains and retention, mostly related to modalities. ___(Teaching)- Fortunately for me I have been able to teach in areas that I thoroughly enjoy, like Anatomy, Clinical Kinesiology, and Lower Extremity Evaluation at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. It is my belief that students who gain a strong understanding of functional human anatomy can think through assessment, pathomechanics, biomechanics, and rehabilitation problems rather than trying to memorize application practices. Moreover, by having the aforementioned research background and interests I feel that my understanding of modality practices can provide our students with cutting edge information as I tend to bring research into the classroom. Also,I enjoy teaching young scholars how to analyze and synthesize the literature, which helps them write scientifically, understand the design and statistical analyses, and further develop topics of clinical interest.
